Hello Utah FCCLA! My name is Brenna Horton and I am your 1st Vice President. I am a senior at Parowan High School and I love living in Parowan! The first thing that you should know about me is that I put family first, which is why I love FCCLA so much. I am the oldest of 6 children; I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. Family is where it’s at! I also like being nice. I’m not saying that I always am, but being kind to others really has its rewards. Try it sometime; I promise, it is fun! I am very excited to be a mom someday and I am thankful for FCCLA’s emphasis on preparing teens for parenthood. I also dream of becoming a fashion designer and owning my very own clothing line. I love to create and use my hands to make something beautiful. I love sewing and working with interesting textures of fabric. I am the Fashion Club President at my high school. I plan to attend FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in California after I graduate. You should also know that I love music, yoga, reading my scriptures, hot chocolate, sleeping, and admiring the beautiful night sky. I strive to do my best in all that I do and improve every day. I want to be the best State Officer I can be! I look forward to meeting all the wonderful members of FCCLA and becoming a better leader. I am so thankful for this opportunity that I have to serve YOU and to help others to become better!

C.S. Lewis once said, “We are what we believe we are.” I second that. With courage in our hearts and faith in who we are, we can do anything. I joined FCCLA as a sophomore and immediately fell in love with the organization because of the positive influence it has within our community, school, and personal lives. We live in a world with a population of seven billion. This number continues to get bigger every second, every minute, and every single day. But I believe it is possible for one person to still make a difference, even if it’s small. FCCLA has inspired me to be the change I want to see in the world and has deepened my desire to pursue a career in the medical field or as a family and marriage therapist after graduation. I am fond of reading, writing, camping, hiking, and stargazing. But most of all, I genuinely love to help the people around me. My name is Pauline Benavides, I’m a senior at Timpview high school, and am your 2016-2017 FCCLA Vice President of Public Relations.
